Hearts for Health Capital Campaign
In Northeast Oregon’s scenic Wallowa County, the local providers of primary care and mental health care have joined forces to create a new integrated health services building to meet the full range of community health needs. For over 50 years Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness has provided mental health counseling for all ages: seniors, children, couples, families, and veterans.
WVCW currently serves 400 people a year through 14 different programs in seven separate locations. The next closest mental health clinic is in La Grande, Oregon , a 128-mile round-trip drive. 3.2 acres has been purchased in Enterprise and ground has been broken towards building the new health services building to provide integrated wellness services and resources.
We are thrilled to be taking this step to centralize and coordinate care locally, and we are working with the local community, regional foundations and the State of Oregon to meet our campaign goal of $6.8 million.
What The Community Says
“I would never have known how to start this massive campaign. They’ve been critical in every step of the way. We could have never done it without them.”
